I began painting watercolors in the early 1960's when several other engineers, who were interested in art and painting, hired an instructor and organized an "art group". We met weekly and painted whatever we chose. The instructor, with great patience, guided us individually. Most people would not associate art with life in a steel mill, but that where it began for me. Now I enjoy painting the peaceful rural landscapes, the hills and the busy river scenes of Western Pennsylvania. There seems to be no end to interesting subjects just waiting to be captured with brush and paint!
